For medical sterile packaging the DLP series offers two machines: the DLP-600 for paper/plastic sterile pouches and the DLP-1300DD for Tyvek header bags with high-temperature sterilisation and recipe-based process control.

In sterile barrier systems the seal is not a quality attribute but a safety-relevant component. Both machines are designed to keep process parameters reproducible, the prerequisite for validation to ISO 11607.

Do the machines meet ISO 11607?

ISO 11607 sets requirements for sterile barrier systems and their validation, not for the machine alone. The machine provides the technical prerequisite: reproducible process parameters. Validation is carried out by the medical device manufacturer for its specific combination of product, material and sterilisation method.

What is the difference between sterilisation paper and Tyvek?

Both are gas-permeable and microbe-tight. Tyvek is an HDPE spunbonded material with higher tear resistance and fibre-free opening. Sterilisation paper is cheaper and sufficient for many standard applications.

Which sterilisation methods are possible?

That depends on the material, not the machine. Ethylene oxide and steam are common, and Tyvek structures also allow high-temperature methods. Suitability follows from the supplier’s material specification.
