4-side-seal and flat pouches
The 4-side-seal pouch is sealed on all four edges and is therefore the tightest flat pouch format. Delipu Europe produces it on the DLP-600 4-side seal in laminate or PE mono-material film, optionally with tear notch, euro hole or a sealed-in valve.

What matters here
Four seams instead of three
The extra seam on the fourth edge closes the pouch all round instead of relying on a film fold. For oxygen-sensitive products that is the difference between shelf life on the data sheet and shelf life on the shelf.
Cut in register
The cutting position follows the print mark, not the feed. Across the whole reel the artwork therefore stays in the same place on the pouch.
Portion sizes without tool changes
Format changes run through the servo axes of the machine. Short runs across several portion sizes become calculable instead of failing on set-up cost.
Valve integrated on request
For products that continue to degas, a valve can be sealed in on the same pass. A separate operation is not needed.

Frequently asked questions
When is a 4-side seal worth it over a 3-side seal?
- On a 3-side seal a film fold forms the fourth edge. That is cheaper and sufficient for robust dry goods. As soon as barrier and integrity matter, the fourth seam all round is the safer choice.
Are view windows possible?
- Yes, through transparent web sections or areas left clear in the print. That is decided on the film, not on the bag machine.
Can several formats run within one order?
- Yes. Every format is stored as a recipe and a change takes minutes rather than hours. Separate batches within one order are therefore economically viable.
