Beverage pouches with a valve are stand-up pouches whose outlet is already sealed in. Delipu Europe produces them on the DLP-600 stand-up pouch with valve: feeding, positioning and sealing run in a single pass. Available with spout, screw cap or dispensing valve, also in PE mono-material.

What matters here
The outlet is part of the pouch, not an add-on
Valve or spout are sealed in inside the machine rather than attached afterwards. At the least tight point of the product there is therefore no second joining operation with its own defect rate.
Integrity is measurable
The sealing parameters at the outlet are stored as a recipe and stay constant across the batch. A sample check therefore measures the process and not the mood of the setting.
Mono-material with an outlet too
Pure PE works in this design as well, provided the outlet is PE-based. A spout in PP or PA breaks the single-polymer structure.
One supplier for pouch and outlet
Pouch, valve and sealing parameters come from one house. If integrity is ever in question, there is no dispute over responsibility between pouch and valve supplier.

Frequently asked questions
How does a spouted pouch differ from a bag-in-box pouch?
- The spouted pouch stands by itself and goes to retail as a consumer pack. The bag-in-box pouch is an inner liner that only takes its shape from the carton, and covers far larger volumes.
Can you run our existing spout type?
- As a rule yes. We need the type, dimensions and material of the spout. Tooling and sealing parameters of the valve station follow from that.
Is a child-resistant closure possible?
- Yes, through a corresponding screw cap on the spout. Child resistance is a property of the closure, not of the pouch, and is evidenced through the closure supplier.
